Politicians are going to spend $800 billion dollars which they claim will stimulate the economy. For the same amount of money we could eliminate the payroll tax for the rest of the year, giving the average worker thousands of dollars back in their pocket. Instead of more government spending, why not just let the American people spend their own money?

YOU get to choose what I expose next; Go post under What to Expose Next? on the page located in the above link!

This just in: The government has censored the declaration of independence! The hypocrisy of July 4th is astounding.

The Text:
Censoring the Declaration of Independence
Every July 4th Americans celebrate a revolutionary document – The Declaration of Independence signed July 4th, 1776. The Declaration talks about the necessity “to dissolve the political bonds.” About “unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Most radically of all it says “That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, IT IS THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO ALTER OR ABOLISH IT, and to institute new government…”
But some people don’t want us to get that message…
If you go to the Jefferson Memorial you will see that the engraving of the first lines of the Deceleration of Independence leaves out “the consent of the governed.” and our “right to alter or abolish” government…
Then there is this movie reading of the Declaration which closes the door to Independence hall just as we get to that important phrase…
Don’t let the government and the media censor the Declaration of Independence
It’s time to celebrate the Fourth of July for what it really is…
“Right to Alter or Abolish the Government DAY!” A true people’s holiday!

To clarify:
This video is pointing out that the government has forgotten the true values that our country was built on
I cite specific examples where the government has gone AGAINST the people (such as the draft, or iraq war). If we vote for them and they go against the people then how is this a democracy? I am not saying that I am in support for a direct democracy or that I am a libertarian, I am simply saying that the government should remember that the government is “for the people by the people”

Even Fox News recognizes the big gap between the opinions of Republicans and the opinions of Democrats when it comes to President Barack Obama’s attempt to get health care insurance reform, particularly when it comes to the “public option” or, as Fox News calls it, the “government run aspect,” but Fox News may actually have significant responsibility for this Republican opinion gap as I show in this video

You can find the full text of HR 3200, the health care bill passed in the the US House of Representatives, to which I refer in this video at http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:H.R.3200:

The two clips of Fox News pollster Frank Luntz and his focus group feedback graphs come from Fox News’ August 19, 2009, broadcast of “America’s Newsroom” which I have not been able to find online.

You can see more of MSNBC’s August 18, 2009, broadcast of “The Rachel Maddow Show” from which I took two short clips from my video on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpi5PaAIj8Q

The two clips of Steve Doocy and Gretchen Carlson come from Fox News’ August 18, 2009, broadcast of “Fox and Friends” which I have not been able to find online.

And, finally, as always, you can find DOZENS and DOZENS more examples of Fox News bias on my Fox News bias playlist on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A3BD2524FE99BD4D

After presenting the basics of money and banking theory, Murray Rothbard traces the decline of the dollar from the 18th century to the present, and provides lucid critiques of central banking, New Deal monetary policy, Nixonian fiat money, and fixed exchange rates. He also provides a blueprint for a return to a 100 percent reserve gold standard.

NOTE: Because of time constraints, this particular excerpt from Chapter 2 does not contain Sections 12 and 13.

The entire audiobook (5 chapters, with a Preface by Jörg Guido Hülsmann) is available for free download in MP3 format at http://www.mises.org/media.aspx?action=category&ID=92.

Based on a theory known as Keynesianism, politicians are resuscitating the notion that more government spending can stimulate an economy. This mini-documentary produced by the Center for Freedom and Prosperity Foundation examines both theory and evidence and finds that allowing politicians to spend more money is not a recipe for better economic performance.
